Autism Support

Autistic Spectrum Care

Interserve Healthcare is able to support adults, young people and children on the Autistic Spectrum by providing a reliable, professional autism support care team who are appropriately trained to deliver the highest standards of care.

We understand that each and every person is an individual and that because Autism is a spectrum disorder the degree of support required will vary enormously from one person to another. In order to ensure you receive the bespoke autism support you require, Interserve Healthcare’s Care at Home Team will work with you and your loved ones to promote a caring, safe and structured environment. We understand that feeling valued and secure enables you to achieve happiness and wellbeing and to grow in confidence.

Supporting care within your own home, Interserve Healthcare’s experienced Autism Support Carers and Nurses will provide encouragement, help you access your local community, remain safe within your home environment and support with the development of routines and structures giving you the necessary skills to achieve your personal goals.

What is included in our Autism Support Services?

Interserve Healthcare is able to develop and amend the level of care provided as your needs change and adapt to situations where less or more autism support is required. We strive to help each person achieve their own aspirations in life whilst recognising and understanding that life itself can pose many questions to which some may find more challenging than others.

We understand how important it is that you are able to build trusting, long lasting relationships with a small team of autism support carers and that those supporting you receive regular training relevant to the continuous assessment of your care needs.

Autism FAQ

We are able to support you with Carers, Support Workers or Registered Nurses who are suitable to care for your needs as an individual, always making sure they have experience with Autism.

Should they not have had recent experience they will receive bespoke training refreshers before supporting you.
Should you need support with challenging behaviour, we train our Carers with an accredited provider of de-escalation and restraint techniques. During your assessment we will discuss in depth the ways you feel best supported and how we maintain a safe environment through using all methods of de-escalation and diversion prior to physical restraint. We believe that by providing you with a small and consistent team we can work toward a positive relationship with workers, therefore reducing the need for restraint.
We have the experience to support with a wide range of different care needs including Complex Care as well as Social Support*. During your care assessment we will identify all your care requirements and place suitably matched Carers.
We have previously supported with communication methods such as Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication, IT support and British Sign Language. Should you require your Carers to have these skills we will endeavour to provide this for you, providing additional training where required.
All of our Carers are able to support you in your own home and in the community; they will help you take part in hobbies and visit areas of interest. Encouraging you to engage in environments where you feel comfortable, we are there to support you at any level you require.
