Why Choose Live-In Care?

Our live-in care service offers you a high level of flexibility, from simple things such as choosing your meals and watching your favourite programmes on television, through to having the freedom to be active each day knowing there is someone there to support your care requirements.

These may seem simple requests, but such things can have a profound effect on an individuals well-being. The benefits of allowing someone to retain their individuality and independence throughout illness should not be overlooked; this is particularly true for dementia conditions where maintaining continuity and familiarity of routine is especially important.

There are many ways in which our live-in care service can benefit you:

  • Enables you to remain living in your own home
  • Allows you to continue living your chosen lifestyle
  • Comparable cost to many care homes
  • One-to-one care, providing you with greater flexibility and personalisation
  • Continuity of care from a small number of Carers, selected to match your requirements
  • Available on a short or long-term basis, often at very short notice

Our live-in care service is based on you and your Carer being able to have a good night sleep. Should you need support throughout the night, your Carer can be called upon up to three times. For those whose needs during the night are more complex, we offer a 24 hour care service; this is explained in more detail below.

Continuity of care is one of the key strengths of our homecare service. This is achieved by minimising the number of Carers assigned to each care package. As part of our live-in care service, we will provide you with two, and in some cases three, suitable Carers to work on a rota basis. Whilst our rotas are tailored to suit your requirements, many timetables follow a fortnightly rotation, an example of which is seen below.

We believe that limiting the number of Carers within a care package helps you and your Carer to develop stronger relationships, therefore resulting in a higher quality of care.
